Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need a Standard or a Long appointment?

Choosing the right appointment length helps our doctors run on time and ensures your health concerns aren’t rushed:

  • Standard Appointment (15 mins): Best for a single, straightforward health concern, a routine script renewal, or a follow-up discussion.

  • Long Appointment (30 mins): Required for new patients, multiple or complex health issues, mental health consultations, skin cancer checks, or procedures (like implant insertions/removals). If you are unsure, please speak to our reception team when booking.

Can I request a script or referral without an appointment?

To maintain clinical safety and fulfill our medical-legal obligations, you generally need to see a doctor to get a new script, repeat medication, or specialist referral. This allows your GP to properly monitor your health condition and ensure the medication or referral remains appropriate.

What languages do your doctors and staff speak?

We are proud to serve Canberra’s diverse community. Beside English, our clinical and administrative team can communicate in several languages to ensure you feel comfortable and completely understood. These include Laotian, Thai, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Arabic.
