About Dr Ta
Dr Ta Phengsiaroun is a Practice Principal at Health Plus GP and one of the most familiar faces in north Canberra general medicine. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1997 and has been part of the Canberra community ever since, building the kind of long-term patient relationships that are increasingly rare in general practice.
He is trilingual in English, Laotian and Thai, and for many families across Casey and Gungahlin, that matters enormously. Healthcare delivered in your own language is a different experience entirely, and Dr Ta understands that deeply.
Training and Qualifications
Dr Ta holds his MBBS from the University of Sydney, a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), and a Diploma in Dermatology. He is also a Principal of Canberra Skin and Aesthetics, the specialist skin clinic co-located at the same address.

After nearly thirty years in general medicine, Dr Ta’s approach is built on breadth and genuine continuity. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and brings a particular clinical depth to skin cancer screening and skin conditions, underpinned by his dermatology training.
