Scripts, Referrals and Test Results
Do I need an appointment for a script or referral?
Yes. We ask all patients to book a consultation with their regular doctor for a repeat script or a referral to a specialist.
It might feel like a quick task, but a face-to-face appointment gives your GP the chance to check in on your overall health, catch any recent changes, and make sure your care stays consistent and well-informed.
If you’re collecting a script or referral from reception, please bring photo ID. We need this before releasing any sensitive patient information.
My doctor has ordered a test, what's next?
We have policies in place to make sure you get your results in good time. You can read our full [notification of test results policy here].
Most results are available within a week, though some take longer. If you’re not sure how long yours will take, ask the test provider directly.
Please book an appointment with your own doctor to discuss your results. If something urgent comes up, your doctor will contact you directly. To protect your privacy and keep your care consistent, reception isn’t able to release results over the phone or at the desk.
If your regular doctor is away or unwell and you haven’t heard back about your results, contact reception and we’ll book you in with another doctor on our team.
