About Dr Enas
Dr Enas Al Shahabi brings more than fifteen years of general practice experience to Health Plus GP, along with a clinical focus in skin cancer medicine that goes well beyond the scope of most GPs.
She graduated from Baghdad University in 1997 and has built her career across multiple countries and training institutions, bringing a breadth of perspective that is genuinely hard to replicate. She speaks both English and Arabic, which matters deeply to many patients in the Casey and Gungahlin community for whom Arabic is their first language.
Training and Qualifications
Dr Enas holds her primary medical degree from Baghdad University, a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom (2008), and a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She is recognised by the Australian Medical Council and has met the rigorous standards required to practise at the highest level in Australia.
Clinical focus at Health Plus GP
Skin cancer is where Dr Enas has focused much of her specialist training, and it shows in the depth of care she provides. She conducts thorough skin assessments using dermoscopy, a tool that significantly improves diagnostic accuracy over a standard visual check. When a biopsy is needed, it can usually be performed at the same appointment, avoiding the delays that often come with referrals.
Where a skin cancer or other concerning lesion is confirmed, Dr Enas is experienced in both surgical excision and non-surgical treatments including cryotherapy, selecting the approach that is most appropriate for the patient and their situation.
